Launch of the “Restoration and Rehabilitation of the Historic Jenin Municipality Library Building” Project - Phase I

Jenin - In early February, the Old Cities Revitalization Program at Taawon (Welfare Association) launched the first phase of the restoration project of the Jenin Municipal Library building. The project aims to rehabilitate and preserve the building as a prominent historical and architectural landmark, while respecting its authentic architectural and heritage values to ensure its continuity and sustainability for future generations.

Launch of Restoration and Rehabilitation Works at the Palestine Red Crescent Clinics in Bab Hutta - Jerusalem

Jerusalem - On 21 January 2026, the Old Cities Revitalization Program at Taawon (Welfare Association) began the restoration and rehabilitation works of the Palestine Red Crescent clinics building in the Bab Hutta area, located within the Old City of Jerusalem, just a few meters from Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Vital Projects Continue to Support the Resilience of Jerusalemites and Preserve the Heritage of the Old City of Jerusalem

Jerusalem - Work continues on a number of vital projects in the Old City of Jerusalem as part of an integrated plan aimed at supporting the resilience of local residents and improving their living conditions, while also preserving the city’s architectural and religious heritage.

Key ongoing projects include:

-Residential Units: Work is currently underway on four residential units, which will benefit four Jerusalemite families living in the Old City of Jerusalem.
