Preparations for Launching the Tender for Phase Two of the Al-Jabsheh Project in Jerusalem’s Old City

Jerusalem - The Old Cities Revitalization Program is preparing to launch the tender for Phase Two of the Al-Jabsheh Project in Jerusalem’s Old City, funded by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development. The necessary procedures are expected to be completed during the coming month in preparation for the start of implementation works.

This tender comes as a continuation of the first phase of the project, which is still under implementation, within an integrated vision aimed at protecting and strengthening the resilience of the historic urban fabric in the Old City.

The project is being implemented under highly complex operational conditions, as the program continues to face a series of geopolitical and field-related challenges, including closures and strict restrictions imposed on the Old City, limitations on the movement of people and equipment, difficult economic conditions, and escalating security conditions in the West Bank, accompanied by restrictions on movement and transportation of materials between cities and villages.

Despite these challenges, the program continues its efforts to ensure the continuity of restoration projects, contributing to preserving the historic and architectural identity of Jerusalem’s Old City.
