Jerusalem - Restoration and rehabilitation works continue at the Red Crescent Clinics building in the Bab Hutta area within Jerusalem’s Old City. The project is being implemented by Taawon’s Old Cities Revitalization Program since its launch in January 2026.
The project aims to establish a fully equipped health clinic that contributes to improving healthcare services provided to residents of the Old City and strengthening their resilience, particularly due to the site’s importance and its proximity to Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Implementation works continue despite ongoing field challenges, including movement restrictions, difficulties in the entry of workers and materials, and the sensitivity of the site. The project team continues its efforts to ensure uninterrupted implementation according to the approved plans.
This project comes within the framework of a cooperation agreement between Taawon and the Palestine Red Crescent Society, funded by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, reflecting the commitment of the partner institutions to supporting the healthcare sector in the Old City and improving essential services for residents.
