Jerusalem - The Old Cities Revitalization Program at Taawon has announced the launch of a specialized training course titled “Health and Safety Procedures at Construction Sites,” to be conducted via Zoom.
The course is implemented within the framework of the “Quality Urban Development and Sustainable Interventions – Rehabilitation for Revitalization (R4R-QUDSI)” project, funded by the European Union, managed by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme in the Arab Region (UN-Habitat), and partially implemented by Taawon’s Old Cities Revitalization Program.
The course targets contractors in Jerusalem and the West Bank, as well as engineers working in construction projects, with a special focus on contractors and engineers specialized in restoration projects.
The course consists of eight sessions that began at the end of April and will continue until mid-May.
The course aims to provide participants with the knowledge required to manage occupational health and safety in construction and restoration projects, with a focus on the regulations applied in Jerusalem. It also emphasizes that compliance with safety and preventive protection requirements is essential to ensuring valid insurance coverage and obligates employers, engineers, and contractors to provide safe working environments and mandatory insurance.
