Completion of Restoration Works for Phase One of the Al-Jabsheh Project

Jerusalem - The first phase of the Al-Jabsheh Project in Jerusalem’s Old City is expected to be completed during this month. The project is considered an integrated initiative for the rehabilitation of the building while preserving its architectural and historical character.

The restoration works aim to repurpose the building in the future as a vocational education center, contributing to strengthening the site’s community role and supporting educational and development activities in the Old City. This phase included structural reinforcement works for the first section of the building, including the roof, in addition to plastering and pointing works, as well as electrical and mechanical works, in preparation for the completion of the remaining project phases.

This achievement comes within broader efforts to preserve the historic urban fabric of the Old City and revive heritage buildings in a way that serves the needs of the local community.
