Jerusalem - The Old Cities Revitalization Program at Taawon (Welfare Association) concluded a specialized training course titled “Introduction to Essential Communication Skills: Email Correspondence, Office Applications, and Project Scheduling.” The training was delivered online via Zoom.
This training forms part of the “Quality Urban Development and Sustainable Interventions – Rehabilitation for Revitalization (QUDSI-R4R)” project, funded by the European Union, managed by the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), and partially implemented by the Old Cities Revitalization Program at Taawon.
The course targeted a group of contractors, engineers, and technical professionals in Palestine, aiming to strengthen their professional communication skills as a strategic tool for improving on-site coordination, reducing legal risks, and effectively managing contractual disputes.
The training covered several key themes, including:
-Communication skills and mechanisms for effective coordination among all stakeholders at project sites.
-Fundamentals of effective negotiation in the construction sector and strategies for managing contractual disputes.
-Professional administrative and technical correspondence, including drafting meeting minutes and preparing Requests for Information (RFIs).
-Principles of project scheduling, including how to prepare, update, and regularly monitor project timelines.
