Restoration and Rehabilitation of Hosh Al-Nasr in the Old City of Nablus – Phase I

Nablus - The Old Cities Revitalization Program at Taawon (Welfare Association) has recently completed the first phase of restoration and rehabilitation works at one of the historic courtyard complexes in the Old City of Nablus, known as Hosh Al-Nasr, which is home to approximately 15 families.

This phase of the project included the rehabilitation of two residential units. The first unit, located on the ground floor, consists of two rooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom, while the second unit, located on the upper floor, consists of three rooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. The implemented works included upgrading infrastructure and rehabilitating the facilities of each unit, in addition to plastering works, floor tiling, roof waterproofing, and repointing.

Projects of this nature contribute to improving living conditions for families residing in the Old City of Nablus, while also helping to preserve the social fabric and the distinctive architectural and historical heritage of the Old City.

The total cost of the implemented works amounts to approximately USD 109,000, funded by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development and Taawon (Welfare Association).
