Nablus - Restoration works have so far been completed on 11 building facades across four quarters in the Old City of Nablus, namely Qaryoun, Al-Yasmina, Al-Habala, and Haret Al-Gharb. The project aims to enhance the overall appearance of the area and strengthen structural safety. Restoration of an additional facade is expected to be completed later this month.

The works included structural reinforcement of facades and arches, repointing and waterproofing works, replacement of some shading elements, and maintenance of windows and drainage outlets. Structural issues affecting several facades were also addressed. In addition, visible electrical and mechanical installations were reorganized and neatly arranged, contributing to improved safety and enhancing the visual character of these important urban spaces.

The project contributes to improving the residential environment and increasing property value, while also benefiting the Municipality of Nablus by helping preserve the city’s architectural heritage and strengthening the Old City’s appeal as a vibrant residential and historic area.

The total cost of the project amounts to USD 76,000, funded by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, as part of ongoing efforts to preserve the historic urban fabric of the city of Nablus.
