As part of ongoing efforts to protect the architectural heritage of the Gaza Strip, emergency structural reinforcement works have been completed at the historic Al-Muzaini House located in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood in Gaza City. The project aims to strengthen the resilience of damaged historic buildings and support their rehabilitation.
The reinforcement works included a number of urgent technical interventions, including the treatment of damaged wall sections, stabilization of unstable stone elements, and localized structural reinforcement works to ensure the building’s stability and prevent further deterioration.
The works were implemented under the supervision of a team of local and international experts, with the participation of trainee craftsmen who received direct practical training on site, contributing to strengthening their technical capacities and linking theoretical knowledge with practical application. This achievement represents an important step toward preserving one of Gaza’s historic architectural landmarks, as Al-Muzaini House reflects the city’s architectural and cultural heritage.
The project was supported by Cultural Emergency Response (CER) as part of efforts aimed at supporting early recovery needs, protecting cultural heritage, and ensuring its continuity under current challenges.
