Jerusalem - Preparations are currently underway for launching the tender for the restoration of five residential units in Jerusalem’s Old City (Hosh Marqosto), funded by the Islamic Development Bank, as part of efforts to preserve the historic urban fabric and improve living conditions for residents.
The project is expected to benefit approximately five families comprising around 26 individuals. The works include a range of restoration and rehabilitation interventions, including addressing structural and physical damage, rehabilitating architectural elements, and improving essential services within the housing units.
The project also responds directly to existing issues in the buildings, including moisture, water leakage, damaged structural elements, and the need to improve facilities and services, ensuring safer and more suitable housing conditions for residents.
